Parent Contributions and Stationary Packs

 

Great Ryrie Primary School (GRPS) is looking forward to another exciting year of teaching and learning and would like to advise you of our voluntary financial contributions for 2026. At GRPS, our unwavering commitment to excellence drives us to continuously innovate our educational programs, tailored to meet the unique needs and interests of each of our students. We take great care to keep the costs associated with various school items and activities as low as possible, ensuring affordability for all parents in our community.

 

Schools provide students with free instruction to fulfil the standard curriculum requirements and we want to assure you that all contributions are voluntary. However, your continued support plays a pivotal role in enabling us to offer an enriched curriculum and learning experiences that go beyond the standard requirements, extending beyond what is funded by the Government. We take immense pride in offering a comprehensive and well-resourced education program at Great Ryrie Primary School, one that aligns with the individual needs and aspirations of our students. Our commitment to providing rich and diverse learning experiences sets us apart.

 

The School Council is appreciative of your contributions, which have enabled us to provide outstanding facilities and resources for our students such as:

  • Pens, paper, additional supplies for classroom activities, classroom books and readers
  • Classroom furniture
  • Art, Lote, PE and the Performing Arts resources
  • Maintenance of our school grounds and improvements to play areas
  • Repairs to Audio visual equipment, TVs in classrooms
  • First Aid materials
  • Library enhancements including the latest books
  • Many other materials that assist us run our high-quality programs.

We look forward to the upcoming year with optimism and enthusiasm, knowing that with your support, we can continue to achieve excellence in education.

 

Under the Department of Education and Training's Parent Payments Policy, Victorian government schools are required to provide transparent information to their school community on voluntary parent contributions. Our parent payment arrangements for 2026 will be available shortly.

 

2026 Stationery Packs

COS will be supplying your 2026 stationery packs. COS is a 100% Australian Family Owned & Operated school supplier. On the attached COS information sheet, you will find a list of items created by our teachers, that the school recommends you purchase from for your child to individually own and use. We recommend you purchase these items through COS to ensure that every student has items with the same specifications and quality requested by the school. By purchasing through COS, we can offer considerable savings to parents/carers due to the school’s sizeable buying power. If you choose to provide the student stationary items for your child, please ensure you have a conversation with the Business Manager prior to purchase to ensure your purchases meet the requirement of the school.
