Great Ryrie Primary School opened in 1998 as a result of the amalgamation of three smaller schools in the area. We currently have an enrolment of approximately 500 children.
We provide a supportive and engaging learning program that is designed to equip students to become adults who can constructively participate in and contribute to an ever changing world.
We aim to help our students develop lively, inquiring minds, a love of learning and a willingness to apply effort to worthwhile tasks.
Our school ethos is based on our six common agreed values – Collaboration; Honesty & Integrity; Individuality; Learning; Positive Attitude; Respect & Responsibility.
We believe the key to student well being lies in building strong relationships across the school, and our values form the basis of all our relationships.
We have a culturally diverse school community and we celebrate differences. We treat every child as an individual and aim to identify and meet the learning needs of each student.
